After three days of intense bombing of Iran by the Israeli and American military, I’m becoming increasingly worried that Iran is going to become the new Gaza: lots of civilian deaths even though those people had nothing to do with the purported reason for going to war, and large swaths of the country reduced to rubble even though destroyed areas had no military significance.
I’m going to let tweets shared today by some of the people that I follow on X, formerly known as Twitter, do most of the speaking for me. The beauty of X, as with Blue Sky, is that a lot can be communicated in a short post.

Those last tweets are infuriating. Secretary of State Rubio admits that Iran didn’t pose a threat to the United States. No imminent threat of Iran getting a nuclear weapon. No imminent threat of Iran being able to hit the United States with a long-range ICBM. The only “imminent threat” was Iran possibly striking U.S. forces or bases in the Middle East if Israel attacked Iran again.
So Trump went to war against Iran because Israel’s extreme right-wing prime minister, Netanyahu, had told him that Israel was going to bomb Iran no matter what the United Stated did. Netanyahu pulled Trump’s strings like the skillful puppet master that he is. Now American lives are being lost, many billions of dollars are being spent on an unjustified war, lots of innocent people are being killed in Iran, and there’s a good chance Iran will continue to have a fanatical Islamic government after the war is over.
